Position Overview
We seek an entrepreneur who is passionate, relentless and motivated to knock down barriers in order to "make it happen." The ideal candidate will drive the design process and think in terms of end-to-end UI design, focus on usability and understanding aesthetic values.
Responsibilities
- Design the next generation of NeXpose, a rich Internet application (RIA).
- Producing a visual design that enhances the usability, accessibility and aesthetic appeal of NeXpose.
- Deliverables will include mood boards, user-centered UI layouts, customer surveys, brand-driven visual language (color, typography, graphics and icons), and ultimately a comprehensive style guide for development.
Required Skills and Experience
- Application-based UI background a must; RIA experience a plus
- Exceptional visual design skills
- Strong vector-based illustration skills for graphic and icon generation
- Documentation experience
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be extremely detail oriented and quality-driven
- Must be passionate about visual and use centered design
- An understanding of Microsoft Windows design standards is a plus
Technical Skills
- Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Flash knowledge not required but is a plus
- Microsoft Visio, Word and Excel
