Mr. Matthews and partner John Devine, with whom he launched many other successful start-ups, founded Rapid7 to address the need he saw in the market for network security. Prior to his business partnerships with Devine, Mr. Matthews was a consultant to the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch, developed mortgage-backed securities software at First Boston, coordinated and operated computer graphics lab at HBO/Time Warner, and in the late 1970s served as a programmer and designer for the VM operating system at IBM.

Mr. Nye joined Bain Capital Ventures in 2004. Prior to joining Bain Capital Ventures, Mr. Nye was a SVP at Veritas Software. Prior to Veritas, he was COO and CFO of Precise Software Solutions, where he helped build Precise from a $10MM revenue private company to a $100MM revenue public company prior to its sale to Veritas for $600MM. Earlier in his career Mr. Nye was a Principal at Allied Capital, a public investment company, and he also worked in the U.S. Treasury Department for Treasury Secretaries Lloyd Bentsen and Robert Rubin, and as a consultant for Mercer Management Consulting. Mr. Nye attended Harvard College and Harvard Business School, where he graduated with honors.

Tim joined TCV in 2010 and has been in the venture capital industry since 1991. Tim's primary investment focus is in the software, services and Internet industries. Prior to joining TCV, Tim spent 10 years at Trinity Ventures, a leading venture capital firm focused on the technology industry. At Trinity, Tim focused on innovative software and Internet service models and worked closely with many Trinity investments including: Focus, Likewise Software, RadiumONE, SciQuest, ServiceMax, TrustID, Cyclone Commerce, IntruVert, and Sygate. Prior to joining Trinity, Tim was a vice president at GTCR where he made numerous information technology investments. Previously, Tim was with TA Associates where he focused on investing in enterprise software companies. Tim received his M.B.A. from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and his B.A. from Dartmouth College.

Mr. Sweeney has been the Executive Chairman at Apparent Networks since January 2010, assuming the role following a three-year tenure as Chairman, President & C.E.O. of the company. He has a deep experience as a technology entrepreneur and investor. Previously, he was Vice President, Mergers & Acquisitions at EMC. Prior to EMC, he was President and C.E.O. of Network Intelligence, Inc. where he led the organization to the successful acquisition by EMC in July 2006. Before this, Mr. Sweeney was General Partner at Prism Venture Partners, where he made significant investments in data security markets including GeoTrust, Ingrian Networks, and Silverback Technologies. Previously, he served as the Chief Executive Officer at EPiCON Inc., Stargus, and Bell Atlantic Network Integration. Mr. Sweeney also served as the Vice President of Sales at Bell Atlantic and was instrumental in building the division's business initiative and development. He has also worked as the National Sales Manager at Wang Laboratories' PC Systems Division and has held various marketing and management positions at Unisys.

Mike joined Rapid7 in 2008 to lead its transformation to a global leader in information security with a strong focus on corporate strategy, external relations and corporate development. Prior to joining the company, he was the general manager of Microsoft's SQL Server marketing team, leading worldwide strategic planning and revenue-generating efforts, including product marketing, field programs, product planning and partner strategy. Mike has had two stints totaling nine years at Microsoft in an expanding range of product development and marketing roles. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University (magna cum laude), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar). He is a finalist in the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year program for New England.

Mr. Holzman joined Bain Capital in 2007. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Ben was Vice President of Sales Operations from Iron Mountain, the global leader in information protection and storage services. At Iron Mountain, Ben had responsibility for sales strategy, compensation and the sales-oriented CRM and business intelligence systems. Prior to Iron Mountain, Ben was a venture investor with Fidelity Ventures, where he focused on systems and storage management firms. Earlier in his career, Ben was a consultant at McKinsey and Company, where he advised a wide variety of firms on strategic, operational and organizational issues. Mr. Holzman received his BSE magna cum laude in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from Duke University and his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.

Chris Young is currently the Senior Vice President of the Security and Government Group at Cisco. In this role he is responsible for Cisco's overall security vision and the integration of Cisco's product and cyber security into one platform. Young joined Cisco from VMware, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager, responsible for strategy, products, engineering, and delivery across all of VMware's end-user computing solutions. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President, Products at RSA, the security division of EMC, where he was responsible for strategy, product management, product marketing, engineering, and delivery of products across all of RSA's identity and access assurance, security information and event management, governance risk and compliance and data security solutions. Earlier in his career, Mr. Young was vice president of safety and security premium services for America Online, Inc. (AOL), founder and president of Cyveillance, Inc. and also spent several years in various advisory positions with Mercer Management Consulting. Young holds a bachelor of arts degree, cum laude, from Princeton University and a master's degree in business administration, with distinction, from the Harvard Business School.
