Rapid7 Announces 7 Executive Additions and Promotions

Former LogMeIn Chief Marketing Officer Joins Rapid7 to Drive Explosive Growth

Boston, MA - December 15, 2011 - Rapid7, the leading provider of security risk intelligence solutions, today announced that Carol Meyers has joined the Company as chief marketing officer (CMO). Meyers brings extensive marketing and sales expertise and proven success in driving technology companies to growth, including delivering more than $1.5 billion in market value for investors through three IPOs.

Meyers has over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, including the CMO role at LogMeIn (Nasdaq: LOGM), and Unica Corporation (IPO in 2005; acquired by IBM in 2010), where she played a pivotal role in growing the Company's revenue to over $100M and establishing the new category of marketing automation software. Carol currently serves on the Board of Directors for Awareness, Inc. and the advisory boards of Virtual Computer, SocialRep and AppAssure.

Rounding out the key hires, Christina Luconi will lead Rapid7's strategic people initiatives as its chief people officer (CPO). She will focus on recruiting critical talent, promoting corporate culture, and driving acquisition integration expertise to ensure Rapid7 remains a top employer around the world. Luconi joins Rapid7 with more than 15 years of experience leading people strategy for high growth organizations including @stake, Inc., and Sapient Corporation.

Internal Promotions Demonstrate Rapid7's Commitment to Employee Development

Rapid7 recently secured $50 million in series C funding that will support its plans for strategic hiring and product expansion. The Company has increased global staff by 43% since January 2011. Named one of Boston's Top Places to Work by the Boston Globe, the Company recently made several key internal promotions to support the significant expansion, including naming Corey Thomas president and chief operating officer responsible for sales, marketing, engineering and operations. Kara Gilbert, who joined Rapid7 earlier this year, is now vice president of sales for the Americas, where she will manage direct and channel sales, as well as sales operations. Continuing his focus of expanding the Company’s marketing presence and lead generation program, Bernd Leger has been named vice president of marketing.

In addition, Jennifer Benson has been named vice president of customer experience. She will lead cross-company efforts to enhance the customer experience and community across multiple touch points. During her three years with Rapid7, Jennifer has been instrumental in securing a 92% customer-renewal rate and building an innovative customer-support team.

Richard Li will serve as vice president of products and strategy, solving customer problems in security through innovative technologies built by great people. Richard will also drive Rapid7's growth through strategic acquisitions.
