Rapid7 Broadens Customer Offerings - Adds hosted services to enterprise vulnerability management solution set
Customers Can Now Implement Hosted Services for Performing Threat Assessment Scans of Their Network Environment
Boston, MA - October 25, 2005 - Rapid7, provider of NeXpose, an enterprise vulnerability management solution, today announces the availability of its NeXpose Hosted Services deployment option. Delivered via a Web browser, NeXpose Hosted Services offer turnkey implementation of distributed vulnerability scanning. Using a wizard-based interface, customers obtain a permanent vulnerability management solution without installing and maintaining software.
"Rapid7 customers can instantly deploy a dedicated installation of NeXpose that is hosted at a secure Tier 1 facility," states Alan Matthews, president of Rapid7. "IT teams can perform the proactive vulnerability scanning themselves from a desktop, or we can do it for them. The Hosted Services are an ideal way for customers to conduct a trial of NeXpose. The hosting facility, Bay Mountain in Richmond, VA, undergoes frequent security audits to maintain SAS70 certification. It serves as the secure data center, storing the information retrieved during the customer's external network scans. The NeXpose Appliance is installed for customers who want to perform scans inside their firewall, storing the internal scanning data on the central console.
Rapid7 provides additional professional services that enable scanning and verification to VISA/MasterCard certification levels, internal auditing standards, and regulatory compliance requirements. The company's security consultants analyze network environments for vulnerabilities that de-certify accreditation, helping achieve continuous compliance with credit card company, banking and government requirements. The Rapid7 consultants analyze critical business processes and manage the risk and compliance component of client organizations through automated alerting and monitoring systems.
