Boston, March 7, 2006 - Rapid7 today announces that NeXpose is the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association's solution of choice for enterprise vulnerability and risk management. Network administrator, Les Wise, and his team use NeXpose as they manage the network infrastructure for the LA Philharmonic's two performance venues, the Walt Disney Concert Hall and the Hollywood Bowl, as well as the ticketing center that serves both locations.
“NeXpose is first-rate software, it's very thorough" stated Wise. "It's comprehensive in the number and scope of vulnerabilities it defines, and it's constantly updating."
Wise is the L.A. Philharmonic's primary NeXpose user. He commented further, "I like the granularity of NeXpose. It can do scans at the patch level, at the port and infrastructure level, and around firewalls. NeXpose can identify patches that are missing from servers and desktops as well as potential problems with switches and firewalls."
NeXpose provides the L.A. Philharmonic with critical network monitoring capabilities that it did not have previously. As a result, NeXpose’s usability proved to be an important advantage. "The user interface is very friendly," affirmed Wise. "We found NeXpose to be intuitive and easy to learn."
Other aspects of NeXpose have also stood out for the L.A. Philharmonic. Wise cites the ticketing feature, which assists the Help Desk by notifying them of the timeframe for remediation. He also appreciates the ability to use NeXpose for penetration testing outside the network.
Looking at NeXpose overall, what continues to resonate most for Wise is the software’s thoroughness. "It's really good," declared Wise. "It doesn’t miss much of anything."
