Rapid7 Has Robust First Quarter, Reports Multiple New Sales, Partnerships and Product Developments

Provider of NeXpose Enterprise Vulnerability Management Generates Vigorous Customer Activity and a Dramatic Increase in its Professional Services Business

BOSTON – April 24, 2007 – Rapid7, provider of the award-winning NeXpose enterprise vulnerability management solution, today announced a prosperous first quarter, reporting abundant activity in the areas of product sales and development, partnership development, and professional services.

From January through March, Rapid7 signed several new customers from across various vertical markets, including LPL Financial, Maidenform, Jenny Craig, Coach and Carnegie Mellon University. The company also formed partnerships with technology solutions providers, Calence, FishNet, NitroSecurity, Wolf and Company, and Tailwind Associates.

First quarter sales of consulting and training services were up fivefold as Rapid7’s Professional Services Group expanded, resulting in services revenue that has already surpassed the Group’s performance in all of 2006.

In terms of product developments, Rapid7 introduced its Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance Portal (pci.rapid7.com), a remote, easy-to-use scanning solution that meets the security requirements of all credit card companies. Using the award-winning NeXpose expert system, the Rapid7 PCI Compliance Portal goes beyond scanning network devices to locate the Website and database vulnerabilities that hackers commonly exploit to capture credit card data.

Rapid7 launched the first quarter with the release of NeXpose version 4.5 and the NeXpose Enterprise Edition, which offers comprehensive, enterprise-level scanning and data storage via support for Oracle environments. NeXpose 4.5 allows organizations to leverage the advantages of their Oracle infrastructure, thus dramatically increasing performance and reliability.
