NeXpose System Requirements

NeXpose Enterprise is available as a plug-and-play appliance or a software package.

You can install the software for the NeXpose Security Console and a NeXpose Scan Engine on the same computer, or you can install the console on one computer and distribute scan engines over remote hosts, depending on your network topology and security needs.

Minimum System Requirements

• Dedicated server with no IPS/ISDS/Virus Scanning
• 2 GHz processor or higher
• 2 GB (32bit), 8 GB RAM (64bit)
• 80 GB + available disk space for NeXpose Console installations
• 10 GB + available disk space for NeXpose Scan Engine installations
• 100 Mbps network interface card

Officially Supported Operating Systems

• MS Windows Server 2003 SP2 / Server 2003 R2
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
• Ubuntu 8.04 LTS
• SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 10

NeXpose may run on other Linux distributions but it is only officially supported and validated on the Operating Systems listed above.
