We’re just back from Heroku’s Add-on Provider Summit in London where we were getting the skinny on Heroku’s upcoming addon provider roadmap!
We were also stoked to spend time with our fellow addon providers from this side of the pond (including JustOneDB, Cloudmailin, Pusher, Nexmo, & Sharedworkforce to name but a few…), as well as the likes of Glenn Gillen and John Stevenson from team Heroku.
Glenn gave a nice update on what’s coming up on Heroku’s roadmap in the near future and there are certainly some exciting changes on the way.
Some of the latest updates already in place include:
- Heroku’s new Nav Header which is a lot tidier and already in place on Logentries. Essentially it gives you more real estate for your app and who doesn’t want that..?
- Another nice touch is the improved SSO flow. This allows providers to embed URL’s in an email for example that will allow users to log directly into their provider dashboard via SSO with just that link.
- You can now connect your google analytics to the heroku addon page so you can track conversions from their site.
- log2viz – Heroku’s cool opensource performance dashboard – Log2viz analyses an applications log data in real time (using logplex) and gives you insight into response time, throughput etc.
That’s just a sneak preview, there’s a whole raft of others in the pipeline that we can’t tell you about…
