Okay, okay... technically it's Tuesday. We had a few member's of our Herd out of the office yesterday which delayed the debut of the facial follicle fortitude that is needed to join the Rapid7 Moosestaches for Movember. Movember, for those of you who don't know, is a month long mustache growing campaign to raise awareness for men's health. While we're all guaranteed to look ridiculous, some will be downright creepy, we are doing it for a cause. There are 19 of the Rapid7 Moose signed up this year, and we've increased our reach internationally with a few of our reps from overseas partaking for the first time which is fantastic. While creating a tidal wave of support might be out of our team's reach, our efforts are combined with millions of other participants growing (or simply supporting) our cause.

Below is an example of a recruiting email from the Movember site. The links will provide some additional background for you on the goals for Movember. I've also included links to our team page as well as my page specifically. Should you feel inclinded to donate please feel free to do so, or if you really feel daring you can always sign up and work on growing out your own sweet Upper Lipholstery as well.

  • Millions of Mo Bros and Mo Sista around the world have rallied to support the moustache and men's health - let's join them! The Movember movement raises funds and awareness for men's health. This cause has Mo Bros growing moustaches throughout the 30 days of November, and the Mo Sistas in their lives supporting them along the way.

It's going to be a hairy journey and I'm looking for friends to join me. I want YOU to join Movember and help change the face of men's health: https://us.movember.com/register/

I'm passionate about Movember because they are working tirelessly connecting and funding the best scientific and clinical minds in the world. They are working towards two urgent goals: to fast track a time when no man will die from prostate or testicular cancer, and to rid the world of discrimination against men and boys with mental health problems.

You can learn more about the important work and impact the Movember Foundation is having at: http://us.movember.com/programs

We're in this together, so get involved and spread the word.
