Rapid7's Content Strategy team is a part of the Business Operations organisation, responsible for building Statements of Work, authoring proposals, and responding to information security questionnaires. The team provides global support for the entire Go-to-Customer ecosystem, delivering bespoke documentation for customers and prospects of all kinds. 

The Opportunity 

Content Strategy is hiring a Proposal Writer Intern to join our innovative team and support RFP response. We're committed to delivering customer-focused proposals that speak to how we can help each unique customer advance securely. 

This position offers the opportunity to work in an exciting and dynamic environment, collaborate with a variety of departments and global offices, and combine technical knowledge developed on the job with creativity to produce professional deliverables for customers.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop a broad understanding of Rapid7's product portfolio to support understanding of and response to customer requirements

  • Assist in the preparation of proposals, including writing, editing, and formatting proposal information, ensuring that proposal material is accurate, timely and well-written

  • Work closely with cross-functional subject matter experts to complete all required proposal sections 

  • Edit master content library to ensure grammatical and technical accuracy, as well as consistency of messaging, tone, voice, and brand 

  • Participate in the ongoing update and expansion of entries in the master content library

  • Provide structured writing, editing and formatting for all documentation

Required Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, time management, and project management skills

  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks while maintaining a results-oriented focus

  • Ability to partner well with stakeholders across multiple internal functions, including Sales, Sales Engineering, Consulting, and other teams

  • Eagerness and ability to learn
