The Rapid7 Experience Design Studio cultivates end-to-end experiences that build lasting, meaningful relationships with our customers. The Director of Digital Strategy will join the studio team to lead the charge on bringing our values to life and shaping the Rapid7 web identity.

You will be responsible for the strategy and execution of driving transformation and innovation into our digital strategy. Your direction will shape how we communicate and connect with our customers–through content, visual, and web experiences.
Collaboration is key. This role will work closely across the Experience Design Studio, helping to shape our visual, content, and web strategies as a thought partner and communication expert, with a view toward maximizing reach and engagement. By combining your mastery in the art and science of content marketing, you will drive the web architecture of digital products and services and ensure a seamless alignment with web execution.
In this role, you will cultivate our digital strategy by:
Creating first class digital engagement experiences to engage and delight our customers.
Improving the end-to-end experience for prospects, customers, and partners of Rapid7 by engaging with our web and digital assets.
Leading a creative team (visual, content, web) to execute on our design vision across Rapid7 web properties
Help manage a team that includes business partners aligned to our products and platform areas of security
Partnering with other marketing stakeholders to deliver a cohesive web strategy aligned to the Rapid7 brand, including our campaigns, and the web story execution for learning and engagement.
Collaborating with Experience Design Studio to ensure our website is a representation of our brand and an asset to our customers.
Analyzing key customer and business insights and applying strategic planning to create web experiences that effectively engages industry audiences at each stage of the buying journey.
Working within an Agile framework to drive priorities and results.
Driving processes to empower creative teams to execute on visual, content, and web strategy.
Growing brand awareness, and developing an emotional digital connection to the brand, in strong partnership with both the business team as well as the Brand Storytelling team.
Enabling the team to craft deliverables including site maps, content authoring guidelines, taxonomies, content distribution plans, and many more.
Develop a best in class information architecture and strategy for our web properties aligned with an overall user experience that delivers learning and ease of navigation
Maintaining a deep understanding of business objectives, strategies and opportunities, and the competitive landscape.
Leading governance and protection of website standards and guidelines, and ensuring all creative execution efforts adhere to them.
Own overall roadmap, delivery, assessment, and measurement of web channel and content (including organic traffic, engagement, click-through rates, and conversion).
Work with stakeholders across Rapid7 to build out site experiences, interactions, and tools.
Grow and inspire a team of customer obsessed individuals.
8-10 years of experience leading large programs across organizations or developing global digital strategy.
Ability to see the big picture and execute at scale, leveraging data, testing, and iterating quickly.
Ability to strike the right balance between strategic, execution, and creative.
Be a project driver. Ability to prioritize complex projects, be accountable to timelines, and collaborate with business partners and negotiate.
A demonstrated track record of developing and tracking web analytics to drive insights and ability to build loyal followings.
Experience managing one or more major website rebuilds or rebranding efforts.
Experience leveraging a broad range of marketing website technologies (e.g. CMS, analytics, tag management, customer feedback tools, testing tools) and design tools (e.g. Invision, Sketch, Figma).
A clear understanding of how content and design and web experiences work together.
Experience translating data into strategic recommendations.
A passion for improving people's lives through technology and security and a deep understanding of the customer.
A strong operator with the ability to set clear goals and direction, measured by insights and process-driven feedback loops that both demonstrate value and allow for course corrections as needed.
An ability to align internal teams to work collaboratively to create a cohesive and consistent experience across web properties.
