About This Role

In this role, you'll:

  • Amplify Rapid7's brand and brand voice through editorial content experiences that speak directly and authentically to the security audience

  • Work closely with your content strategy and brand teammates to develop a blog editorial calendar and content that delivers on company goals without ever losing sights of customer needs

  • Use your editorial savvy and customer understanding to drive blog subscribership up, up, up–creating a loyal following of readers excited for each new post  

  • Conduct research into various industry topics, interview subject matter experts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to generate original content ideas 

  • Work with our digital team to implement SEO best practices

  • Manage the blog's content creation process from start to finish with a firm grip on every detail and deadline

  • Act as a producing partner on our podcast, contributing to editorial planning, episode ideation, and episode distribution

  • Write, ghostwrite, and copy edit multiple blog posts per week

  • Oversee the staging and QA process for posts and be the one to hit “Publish” once they have reached perfection 

  • Use your understanding of content ROI to deep dive into performance metrics to improve the efficacy of the content we create and regularly report analytics to senior leaders 

  • Brainstorm, collaborate, and contribute to digital content experiences for special events and promotions

  • Challenge convention, ask hard questions, and facilitate productive discussions

  • Stay plugged into industry going ons, content trends, and develop a deep understanding how our customers communicate and the language they use

And we'd love for you to have the following experience and education:

  • 6+ years experience writing creative and technical content, developing strategic editorial plans, and managing ongoing editorial processes for a blog or similar publication with a strong background in B2B content marketing

  • BA/BS degree in English, Marketing, Journalism, Technical Communications, Creative Writing, or equivalent experience in a related field

  • Stakeholder management expertise and a demonstrated ability to enact bold, new strategies

  • Proven ability to deliver content under tight timelines and during breaking news cycles 

  • Experience using content management systems, productivity tools like Asana, and working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Bonus points will be earned if you have a passion for podcasting and audio editing chops
