The Opportunity

Rapid7's mission is to advance security and our Talent Acquisition team has the amazing responsibility for making that a reality for our customers by hiring the best teams possible.   As the Director, Talent Acquisition - Executive Recruiting and Talent Sourcing, you will design and drive recruiting strategies at scale for our Executive Recruiting team and establish and build our global Talent Sourcing Strategy team.  To achieve success, this person will partner with senior level stakeholders, lead and inspire a growing team of Talent Partners and Sourcers and ultimately be responsible for the delivery of the results against our hiring plans. This is a newly created role on the Talent Acquisition leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Talent Acquisition. The person who will be successful in this role will have a data-driven mindset combined with the ability to build strong relationships across the business while working collaboratively with key stakeholders, partners and peers to drive results. 

How you will drive impact: 

  • Evolve and scale our existing executive hiring strategy and processes and establish our talent  sourcing strategy, metrics and team which will  anticipate the needs of our business and grow in scale and efficiency under your direction

  • Establish trusted relationships with stakeholders and business leaders through transparent, informed and thoughtful communication, process development and meaningful data points

  • Think creatively (one of our core values is challenge convention) to improve the hiring systems and processes that are in place; make decisions, build strategies, and manage teams using the TA data and tools that are available to you, and use them to improve our operations in ways we haven't thought of yet

  • Demonstrate your proficiency in pipeline and TA metric reporting, forecasting and management  

  • Act as an advisor to stakeholders and partners on market trends, recruiting metrics, operational processes, systems, tools and programs 

  • Ensure that the team cultivates healthy, diverse candidate pipelines and is implementing recruiting practices that reflect Rapid7's core values to create positive candidate experiences

  • Partner with the Talent Operations team to build and drive programs that improve the hiring of internal and external talent including employment brand campaigns 

  • Create, coach, and foster diversity and inclusion best practices in all aspects of sourcing, selection, assessment, and hiring, including on your own growing team

 

What your experience looks like: 

  • Extensive talent acquisition experience including building and deploying talent acquisition strategies in a hyper-growth environment, ideally within the tech space

  • Experience with executive talent acquisition processes and sourcing strategies  

  • Proven track record of leading and developing high performing local and remote teams 

  • Experience in recruitment process redesign, implementation and change management  

  • Proven senior stakeholder engagement and influencing skills  

  • High orientation for continuous improvement and exploring new technologies and approaches

  • Ability to inspire trust and open partnerships with peers and stakeholders across the business 

  • Date-driven mindset, strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to see themes within data 

  • Highly adaptable with the proven ability to drive results in an ever-changing environment and comfort in operating “in the gray” when necessary

  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized with excellent follow through and delivery. 

  • Experience with Workday ATS preferred but not required. 

  • Ability to travel, based on business needs (once safe to do so)
