Role Overview

Rapid7 is seeking an enthusiastic intern to help our Product Management team continue to develop great products for our customers during a twelve month internship. In this role you will gain invaluable experience in what it takes to manage and build successful products, and then bring them to market.

As an intern at Rapid7 you will:

  • Gain experience in market segment and competitor analysis

  • Product requirements gathering and definition

  • Advance your stakeholder engagement skills

  • Gain experience working with an agile software development process and methodology

  • Work on product backlog grooming and learn about prioritization methodologies

  • Practice product feature analysis (usage and adoption) based on quantitative and qualitative results

  • Work on process improvement projects

  • Have the opportunity to collaborate on user experience and design with our UX teams

Successful candidates will be:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree in Business, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Innovative and energetic

  • Inquisitive and creative thinkers

  • Excellent problem solvers

  • Skilled in presenting and have strong written/verbal communication skills

  • Very interested in what it takes to build successful products and features and bring them to market

  • Highly organized

  • Adept at analytical and decision making skills 

  • Knowledgeable about the software development process, from feasibility through implementation and delivery

  • Able to prioritize activities, issues, and risks based on impact analysis
