The Dublin Engineering teams are responsible for log management within the Detection and Response solutions. We provide capabilities for log storage, log search, log alerting and visualisation on log data.  Our services ingest large amounts of data at real-time. They need to be highly available and scalable so that security incidents are never missed. 

Description:

We are looking for a talented and experienced hands-on Engineering Manager with both technical leadership and people management skills. You'll guide engineers to deliver high quality code to a large-scale, distributed system. 

You'll contribute to the product direction and engineering roadmap by working closely with Product Managers, Architects and Engineering Management. 

Some of the technologies we use include; Java, JavaScript, Python, Cassandra, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Netty, Zookeeper, AWS, React Docker and Jenkins.

Responsibilities:

  •  Mentor team members through 1:1s, analysis reviews, code reviews, tech talks
  • Manage a team of Engineers, including goal setting, prioritising tasks, agile best practices, career development 
  • Demonstrate problem solving and “roll-up your sleeves” to help with daily delivery of tasks 
  • Own delivery of features from conception to release
  • Collaborate with other Engineering teams, Product Management, Architecture and Support  

Skills and Expertise:

  • Technical leadership and people management 
  • Ability to align technical projects with business goals
  • Expertise in one or more programming languages 
  • Knowledge of deployment and monitoring frameworks, RESTFul architectures and NoSQL concepts and systems
  • Experience working with large data volumes
