Rapid7, a leading developer of innovative technology to automate and optimize cloud infrastructure, seeks to hire a Sales Specialist for its growing business in the UK and Ireland region.  We're looking for a driven sales professional with a successful track record building pipeline and solution selling software or SaaS products to enterprise customers, with knowledge of public cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cyber-security technologies. As an Cloud Sales Specialist at Rapid7 you will be responsible for developing the overall cloud customers in the UK working closely with the wider UK Salessales organisation, Channel business as well as building high-trust relationships with business decision makers, technical decision makers.  This role will report to Rapid7's UK & Ireland Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Be the goto SME for the UKI Cloud Security business by developing and in-depth knowledge of the Rapid7 InsightCloudSec solutions including value proposition, the needs of customers, the competitive landscape.
  •  Works with the UK & Ireland and Cloud Practice leadership and wider teams to drive the Go-to-Customer strategy for InsghtCloudSec.
  •  Work with the UK & Ireland Sales Organisation, Channel Team and Chanel Partners to grow a pipeline of qualified opportunities from Channel, marketing-generated and sales-generated leads.
  •  Work closely with the Rapid7 AE's through the sales process as the SME from  qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, business- and technical-validation, as well as negotiation and close.
  •  Work closely with customer executives (VP & C-level tech execs in security, cloud center of excellence, and infrastructure) and their teams to align the value of Rapid7 software with their cloud adoption strategies.
  •  Drive objective achievement through disciplined planning and organization - setting objectives through the development of actionable steps with assigned owners, timelines and measurements while anticipating and removing roadblocks and orchestrating internal and external resources.
  •  Utilize the Rapid7 CRM (SFDC) to track all pertinent information related to the opportunities, accounts and key stakeholders in conjunction with the Sales Team.
  •  Provide strategic insight to the internal management team and suggest ideas for enhancement of operations.

Work Location and Travel

The candidate's workplace location will be a combination of the Rapid7 Office (Reading Area), home office and customer sites. It is expected that there will be regular travel within the UK & Ireland area to visit customers, to Rapid7 offices, and to attend trade shows in various locations.

A successful candidate should be driven, creative, self-starter and strategic thinker. The candidate must possess the ability to lead, advise and advocate for customers.                    

Qualifications

  • BS or BA degree or commensurate work experience.
  • 7+ years in solution selling subscription software or SaaS products to enterprise customers.
  • Recent and relevant  knowledge of public cloud environments  (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cyber-security technologies put another was how  Digital Transformation is driving Cloud adoption and the increasing need for cloud security solution.
  • Experience in a Sales Specialist role, giving an understanding of how to gain trust and as such support from a Sales Team, coupled with experience managing a portfolio of clients consisting of large global companies with a high level of complexity, focus, and intensity.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex customer organizations, and align strategic solutions to multiple stakeholders within a target customer.
  • Ability to work through procurement processes efficiently, with support from Rapid7 legal and financial, in order to ensure prompt deal closing.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, high-energy and diligent work ethic.
  • Existing relationships with key contacts in the territory are desired but not required.
