The Opportunity 

InsightConnect is a Rapid7's Security, Orchestration, Automation & Response (SOAR) platform that enables organizations to effectively secure their environments by automating key, time-intensive InfoSec processes.

InsightConnect allows security teams to quickly build customized, automated workflows to offload tedious work, and streamline time-intensive, critical security tasks, ranging from incident response, to vulnerability management. With 300+ integrations available out of the box, teams can quickly integrate their existing tools and share data across multiple platforms.

As a Commercial SOAR Specialist, you will act as a subject matter expert and partner with Rapid7 sellers to identify and close qualified SOAR opportunities with our Commercial Accounts prospects and customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as sales specialist overlay, partnering with Rapid7 account executives to uncover SOAR opportunities and run joint sales cycle through qualification, needs analysis, product demonstration, business and technical validation, as well as negotiation and close

  • Grow a pipeline of qualified opportunities from self-generated, marketing generated, and Account Executive generated leads 

  • Engage in territory planning activities with the Account Executive team in order to prioritize high-value prospective customers

  • Work closely with security executives (ranging from Dir. to C-Level), Security Operations Centers, and their teams to align the value of InsightConnect with their security roadmap

  • Drive objective achievement through disciplined planning and organization - setting objectives through the development of actionable steps with assigned owners, timelines, and measurements while anticipating and removing roadblocks and orchestrating internal and external resources

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the insightConnect product including value proposition, use-cases, customer needs, integration points, as well as a basic understanding of the competitive landscape

  • Provide strategic insight to the internal management team and suggest ideas for enhancement of operations as well as ability to accurately forecast business


 

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

  • 3+ years of solution selling strategic, complex subscription software or SaaS products to customers, ideally in the Information Security or IT spaces

  • Experience selling in a sales specialist overlay model is preferred 

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and/or IT technologies 

  • Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and navigate complex customer organizations and align strategic solutions to stakeholders within a target customer

  • Existing relationships with key contacts in the territory are desired but not required

  • Successful candidates should be driven, strategic thinkers that thrive in a team setting

  • Must possess the ability to lead, advise, and advocate for customers

  • BS or BA degree or commensurate work experience
