Rapid7's Business Development Program acts as an engine to bring people into the Rapid7 sales process, to develop our next generation of sellers and to provide a great experience for customers and prospects. This is an exciting role that will be building a best in class BDR team that meets the demands of a growing and scaling business in Rapid7's Boston headquarters. The leader of the team will embody Rapid7's core values aligning with cross functional stakeholders in sales, marketing, and operations to optimize team performance, focus, and outcomes.
Rapid7 is seeking a highly motivated and talented Business Development Manager that will develop, coach, train and hire a highly driven team of individuals early in their careers to become world-class business development professionals. The Business Development team is one of the first interactions our prospective customers have with Rapid7 and is a key driver of our success.

Hire, coach and manage a team of BDRs to master skills across business development including inbound marketing, lead follow up, discovery, Rapid7's solutions, sales skills and business acumen
Manage day-to-day activities of BDR team including inbound lead volume and queues, follow up, call statistics, conversions and pipeline build
Have a maniacal focus on metrics and reporting – everything from dials per day, conversion rates to opportunities, hand off to sales and close rates
Work closely with sales managers and account executives to ensure proper follow up on hand off of qualified leads and opportunities
Identify and make recommendations for improvements around process, efficiency and productivity of the business development team
Align with sales and marketing teams to build a curriculum for business development reps across onboarding, sales trainings, solutions and industry education and role acumen
3 + years of management experience with proven track record of hiring, retaining, and developing individuals and team
Experience working in and building inside sales teams
Proficient in CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce.com, NetSuite, etc.)
Proficient in Sales Engagement Platforms (i.e. Salesloft, Outreach, etc)
Familiarity with sales prospecting platforms a plus
Proven track record of goal achievement (as individual or manager) and building and managing KPIs for a sales organization
Ability to forecast your business – lead conversion data through to pipeline build and win rates

Data driven – you are driven by numbers and constantly finding ways to improve productivity, efficiency and contribution to the business
