Role Overview

Rapid7 is looking for a high-spirited individual to join the Accounting & Financial Reporting team. This person should be eager to learn more about the world of accounting, tax, treasury, and financial reporting. It will be an exciting opportunity to gain insight into the many different teams that are responsible for keeping the wheels turning at this dynamic company.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assist in various tasks which support our month-end close, including preparing journal entries, balance sheet and income statement account reconciliations and analysis

  • Responsible for daily preparation and management of certain accounting processes and records assigned (such as cash, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, T&E, etc.)

  • Learn how to work as part of the Accounting team to compile and analyze data, track information, and support the company's internal and external reporting requirements

  • Provide support and assistance in compliance with internal and external audit requests

  • Document/review internal financial processes and recommend changes to management

  • Take on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting in areas such as Tax, Treasury, and SEC Reporting

  • Learn tools such as NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and FloQast

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with an Accounting concentration, MIS, or similar field with anticipated graduation between June 2023 and June 2024

  • Strong Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite skills

  • Must be organized and have a high attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently.
