The Opportunity

Sitting at the epicenter of the Go-to-Customer (GTC) organization in Business Operations, the Senior Analyst serves as a vital resource to close the gaps between operational and financial planning by bringing expertise in developing complex analytical tools that support business growth as part of Business Planning and Operations. Your analytical skills shine brightly through your business acumen and ability to provide recommendations in an easily digestible manner.

 In this cross-functional role, you will work closely with other Business Operations and GTC teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, Support, Services, etc.), along with Finance and Talent to lead projects that drive the headcount, capacity planning, and resource management investment decisions through strategic insights and analysis connectivity.

Sr. Manager, Business Planning and Operations

Spend Your Days:

  • Tracking, evaluating, and reporting on Rapid7's core metrics, as well as determining whether or not plans need adjusting in light of current business developments

  • Creating advanced models, incorporating core metrics and financial data, to solve some of the most challenging business problems Rapid7 faces today; unlocking business insights and investments to improve the overall health of the business

  • Acting as the connective tissue that brings together analysis from various GTC Business Operations teams into one singular hub 

  • Tackling new challenges that come our way and solving for scale

  • Attending sessions with key stakeholders and documenting business needs in an organized fashion

  • Leading ad-hoc operational and strategic projects as needed


You Should Apply If You: 

  • Have 3-5 years of expertise mining data and designing/developing reports utilizing a range of reporting and analytics software tools

  • Find developing complex Excel or GSheet financial models comes second nature to you

  • Have superior quantitative and analytical abilities: you don't just supply data, you also produce insights and provide business recommendations

  • Are team-oriented and have strong interpersonal and communication abilities, especially the ability to develop credibility, trust, and influence with business partners

  • Have program management skills and are comfortable multitasking and prioritizing in a fast-paced environment

  • Are an exceptional problem solver with a proven ability to assess and provide solutions to unique and complex problems

  • Have a strong work ethic and customer service mentality

 We'd Be Especially Interested In Hearing From You If You:

  • Have Bachelor's or Master's degree in a critical thinking field (Accounting, Analytics, Applied Mathematics or Statistics, Economics/Econometrics, Finance, Operations)

  • Have experience with BI Tools (e.g. Tableau) and/or proficient with SQL

  • Have experience working at a consulting firm or SaaS company in an analytical or GTM (Go-to-Market) capacity

  • Are a self-starter who can operate independently with minimal supervision

  • Are a quick learner with a natural curiosity who thrives in the face of ambiguity and change
