The Opportunity

We are building a great, disruptive software company and going after a $15B+ addressable market opportunity, and we are looking for a proven cybersecurity leader, accomplished sales executive, and an established 'team of teams builder.' 

Reporting to the SVP of International Growth, the VP APAC Sales will be responsible for leading the business of a high-growth, industry-shaping security provider at a relatively early stage on an international scale. This role provides a unique opportunity to take full revenue accountability, whilst being armed with a truly compelling portfolio. You will have the ability to influence and shape the go-to-market strategy adopted by the organisation throughout your territories. As a member of the global sales leadership team you can also expect to contribute heavily to the overall growth strategy of the company and be fully accountable for leading our APAC teams through significant business growth. This role will have a  high level of autonomy and personal accountability, and as our VP you will genuinely own the success of our APAC business. In summary - your direct influence and ability to impact the future success of Rapid7 cannot be overestimated.

The Role

  • Lead and continue to build our APAC team to take the region to $100M+ in ARR over the next 3 years.

  • Drive revenue growth through developing current and new routes to market.

  • Leverage prior significant experience of scaling the APAC region, including Japan.

  • Successfully recruit, mentor, develop and motivate high-performing teams.

  • Collaborate with global leadership and executive team to deliver a unified growth strategy.

  • Assist in leading efforts to shape the company's presence and growth in APAC, including helping to align investments and resources in sales, marketing, products and customer success.

Qualifications and Traits

  • Background and experience in Cybersecurity and Public Cloud

  • 10+ years of sales and high ARR growth leadership experience; 

  • Demonstrable experience of building management teams and cross-functional organizations.

  • Superior track record of building dynamic, diverse, geographically distributed teams across, medium and large enterprise commercial accounts.

  • Experience building and leading hybrid sales models and working effectively with a variety of channel partners.

  • History of working collaboratively in matrix environments where cross-functional teamwork is key to success.

  • Demonstrated background in establishing individual and team budgets, quotas, activity metrics and forecasts to support company business objectives.

  • SaaS experience required; security industry experience preferred.

  • Willingness to travel extensively.
