Description

The Domino HTTP server inserts a hidden banner at the top of every page it serves. This banner (which can be seen if you view the HTML source) looks something like this:

<!-- Lotus-Domino (Release 5.0.8 - June 18, 2001 on Solaris x86) -->

Hackers can use this information, especially the operating system information, to target their attacks to the operating system in use.

Solution(s)

  • http-domino-0212

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
