Description

The affected asset is vulnerable to this vulnerability ONLY if it is running one of the following modules: mod_cache. Review your web server configuration for validation. A bug was found in the mod_cache module. On sites where caching is enabled, a remote attacker could send a carefully crafted request that would cause the Apache child process handling that request to crash. This could lead to a denial of service if using a threaded Multi-Processing Module.

Solution(s)

  • apache-httpd-upgrade-2_0_61
  • apache-httpd-upgrade-2_2_6

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
