Description

In PolicyKit (aka polkit) 0.115, the "start time" protection mechanism can be bypassed because fork() is not atomic, and therefore authorization decisions are improperly cached. This is related to lack of uid checking in polkitbackend/polkitbackendinteractiveauthority.c.

Solution(s)

  • centos-upgrade-polkit
  • centos-upgrade-polkit-debuginfo
  • centos-upgrade-polkit-desktop-policy
  • centos-upgrade-polkit-devel
  • centos-upgrade-polkit-docs

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
