Description

The data collection script in the Bugzilla package, which is designed to run as a cron job, sets insecure permissions on the data/mining directory. As a result, a local attacker may be able to exploit this race condition to modify the contents of this directory.

Solution(s)

  • upgrade-bugzilla-2_14_5
  • upgrade-bugzilla-2_16_2
  • upgrade-bugzilla-2_17_3

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
