Description

Bugzilla creates temporary files in world-writeable directories without first verifying that the filenames are unused. As a result, a local attacker can use a symlink to overwrite other files on the system that the webserver has access to. Additionally, several scripts in the Bugzilla package are vulnerable to Cross-Site Scripting (XSS).

Solution(s)

  • upgrade-bugzilla-2_16_3
  • upgrade-bugzilla-2_17_4

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
