Description

The webmin "miniserv.pl" web server component is vulnerable to remotely exploitable perl format string vulnerability. During the login process it is possible to trigger this vulnerability via a specially crafted username parameter containing format string data. If miniserv.pl runs as root, this leads to a full remote root compromise. By default miniserv.pl listens on TCP port 10000.
