Description

Upon receipt of certain malformed/invalid IS-IS hello messages, the rpd daemon may crash. The crash occurs because the packet processing code tries to determine IS-IS details based on the packet's contents, but does not check the bounds of certain values. The value returned is used as an index into an array of pointers, causing the code to dereference a NULL pointer.
