Description

Red Hat Network Client Tools provide programs and libraries that allow yoursystem to receive software updates from the Red Hat Network (RHN).It was discovered that rhn-client-tools set insecure permissions on theloginAuth.pkl file, used to store session credentials for authenticatingconnections to Red Hat Network servers. A local, unprivileged user coulduse these credentials to download packages from the Red Hat Network. Theycould also manipulate package or action lists associated with the system'sprofile. (CVE-2010-1439)Users of rhn-client-tools are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which contain a backported patch to correct this issue.

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
