Description

QPopper implements its own version of the vsnprintf() function called qvsnprintf(), which forgets to null-terminate the destination buffer, as a result, subsequent calls to strcat() will corrupt the stack. An authenticated attacker can exploit this vulnerability to gain the privileges of the qpopper process.

Solution(s)

  • qpopper-upgrade-4_0_5
