Description

Certain versions of Exim contain buffer overflows that are remotely exploitable when the 'headers_check_syntax' or 'require verify = header_syntax' options are used. As a result, a remote attacker could potentially gain control of the Exim daemon and assume its privilege level on the affected machine.

Solution(s)

  • exim-upgrade-3_36
  • exim-upgrade-4_33
  • exim-upgrade-4x-latest

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
