Description

In certain situations, it is possible to determine if a username exists on the target system by analyzing differences in response timings from the OpenSSH server. While not a vulnerability in and of itself, this information may simplify more complex attacks against the system.

Solution(s)

  • openbsd-openssh-upgrade-3_1
  • openbsd-openssh-upgrade-latest

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
