Certain versions of Microsoft SQL Server 2000 ship with improper permissions on the 'sp_MSSetServerProperties' stored procedure such that any authenticated user can execute it. As a result, an attacker with a database account can set server properties, such as whether or not to restart the server upon reboot. While the modifiable properties may not allow the server to be compromised directly, they would be useful in carrying out more sophisticated attacks.
With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
