Description

Certain versions of Mozilla Firefox do not properly display the source of XPI installations. As a result, a malicious web page can trick the user into installing untrusted code that appears to belong to a trusted site, such as mozilla.org. Note that this vulnerability is being actively exploited by phishers in the wild.

Solution(s)

  • mozilla-firefox-upgrade-1_0_1
  • mozilla-firefox-upgrade-latest

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
