Description

By default, Microsoft Windows NT, Windows 2000, and Windows XP allow any user to install printer drivers. This makes it possible for a user to install a trojan horse or other malicious driver (whether accidentally or deliberately) that can take over the system.

Microsoft recommends that the ability to install printer drivers be restricted to Administrators and Power Users.

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
