Alan Matthews - CEO & Chairman - Alan and partner John Devine, with whom he launched Percussion Software, Bond Technologies and Stride & Associates, founded Rapid7 to address the need he saw in the market for network security. Prior to his business partnerships with Devine, Alan was a consultant to the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch, developed mortgage-backed securities software at First Boston, coordinated and operated computer graphics lab at HBO/Time Warner, and in the late 1970s served as a programmer and designer for the VM operating system at IBM. Mike Tuchen - President & COO - Mike has joined Rapid7 to lead its next phase of growth as the company expands its marketing, sales channels and product development. Prior to joining the company, he was the general manager of Microsoft's SQL Server marketing team, leading worldwide strategic planning and revenue-generating efforts, including product marketing, field programs, product planning and partner strategy. Mike has had two stints totaling nine years at Microsoft in an expanding range of product development and marketing roles. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Brown University (magna cum laude), a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar). Tas Giakouminakis - Chief Technology Officer - Tas is the chief architect of NeXpose and has been part of the Matthews and Devine team since 1990. Giakouminakis helped form Percussion Software in 1994 where he led the server development of Notrix, Percussion's first product. In addition, he led the server development team for Rhythmyx, Percussion's Enterprise Content Management system. Tas left Percussion to launch Rapid7 in 1998. Prior to his recent experiences, he worked in the financial services sector, developing software in the security and risk areas for CitiCorp..
Tim O'Toole - Chief Financial Officer - Tim joined Rapid7 as CFO in September 2008 to manage all aspects of finance and human resources. Previously, Tim was the CFO at Mzinga, the leading provider of business social media and learning solutions. From 2004 to 2007, Tim was Vice President of Finance for Bladelogic (acquired by BMC Software in 2008). While in that role, he was instrumental in increasing revenue sources, establishing eight foreign subsidiaries and completing the Bladelogic initial public offering, raising $98 million. Deidre Diamond - Vice President of Sales - Deidre comes to Rapid7 with over 13 years in sales leadership, responsible for driving the sales efforts across the company, reinforcing the company's sales structure, and training and mentoring potential sales leaders. Prior to Rapid7, Deidre was with technology staffing company, Stride & Associates, where she played a key role in Stride's growth and achieving its continued success. Deidre brings superior sales leadership to Rapid7 to create an outstanding sales organization that will drive company growth. Deidre is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton and resides in Los Angeles, CA.
Corey E. Thomas - Vice President of Marketing and Product Management - Corey has more than 12 years experience leading marketing and technology initiatives at top global companies and comes to Rapid7 to focus on implementing strategies for product management, product marketing, and lead generation and management at Rapid7. Prior to joining Rapid7, he led product marketing and business development as vice president of marketing at Parallels, a global leader in virtualization and automation solutions. Corey also held a number of leadership positions in the Microsoft Server and Tools division, launching the worldwide availability of 2005 SQL Server and steering product planning behind Microsoft's data platform and storage strategy.
Eric Dougherty - Vice President of Partners and Alliances - With deep expertise in channel strategy, Eric comes to Rapid7 after heading up Americas Channel Sales for Acronis, a provider of storage management solutions for disaster recovery and virtualization applications. Eric built all aspects of the Acronis channel strategy, program, and organization from the ground up. After beginning his sales career with PC-maker Leading Edge Products, he spent more than six years at Axis Communications, ultimately serving as general manager for the Americas. He has also held senior sales management and channel development roles at a variety of expansion stage and start-up software companies.
