Rapid7 Management Team

Alan Matthews - President & CEO - Matthews and partner John Devine, with whom he launched Percussion Software, Bond Technologies and Stride & Associates, founded Rapid7 and own it today. Matthews manages the technical and operational side of the business. Prior to his business partnerships with Devine, Matthews was a consultant to the investment banking group at Merrill Lynch, developed mortgage-backed securities software at First Boston, coordinated and operated computer graphics lab at HBO/Time Warner, and in the late 1970s served as a programmer and designer for the VM operating system at IBM.

Tas Giakouminakis - Chief Technology Officer - Giakouminakis is the chief architect of NeXpose and has been part of the Matthews and Devine team since 1990. Giakouminakis helped form Percussion Software in 1994 where he led the server development of Notrix, Percussion's first product. In addition, Giakouminakis led the server development team for Rhythmyx, Percussion's Enterprise Content Management system. Giakouminakis left Percussion to launch Rapid7 in 1998. Prior to his recent experiences, he worked in the financial services sector, developing software in the security and risk areas for CitiCorp.

Chris Moore - Vice President of Engineering - Moore brings 22 years of product development experience to Rapid7, including 15 years managing highly productive and motivated product groups at several leading technology companies. Prior to Rapid7, Moore was director of engineering at McAfee/Foundstone where he was responsible for growing the Foundstone risk management development team from startup to a successful sale to McAfee and he designed and developed the Foundstone vulnerability assessment product. Mr. Moore graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a Bachelor of Science in computer science and received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.

Deidre Diamond - Vice President of Sales - Ms. Diamond comes to Rapid7 with over 13 years in sales leadership, specializing in training sales teams that delivers proven results. Prior to Rapid7, Ms. Diamond was with technology staffing company, Stride & Associates, where she played a key role in Stride's growth and achieving its continued success. Ms. Diamond brings superior sales leadership to Rapid7 that will help create an outstanding sales organization that will drive company growth. Ms. Diamond is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton and resides in Los Angeles, CA.

David Precopio - VP of Marketing & Business Development - Precopio is responsible for worldwide marketing and technology, reseller and OEM relationships. Mr. Precopio comes to Rapid7 with over 20 years experience in security and technology organizations. Prior to Rapid7, Mr. Precopio led strategic marketing at Web Application and Web 2.0 companies, webMethods and Skyway Software. In addition, he held executive positions at Cisco, SSH Communications Security, and Citrix Systems. Mr. Precopio received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona and his Masters in Business Administration from Thunderbird, The Garvin School of International Management.

Ed Killeen - VP Professional Services - Killeen, a 20+ year veteran of the information technology industry, comes to Rapid7 with experience in sales, service and solutions development to drive the company's professional services business. Ed has held senior positions at several companies, including Datawatch, a BI/Data mining company, Bottomline Technologies, an electronic payment and banking products company, Data Dimensions, an IT process methodology company and Digital Equipment Corporation. Ed also brings to Rapid7 comprehensive experience in developing and implementing hardware, software and system strategies for large organizaitons. Ed holds a Masters of Science in Computer Science from the University of Connecticut.

Nick Fasano - Director of Sales - Fasano has spent over 10 years in sales and sales management positions. Prior to Rapid7, Fasano was the director of North American sales for Percussion Software. Prior roles included director of West Coast sales, Eastern Sales manager and sales executive. His responsibility at Rapid7 is Enterprise Account management, business development and inside telesales management.

Barry Reynolds - Rapid7 Board of Directors and CEO of Percussion Software - Barry's experience in running software companies is extensive and provides Rapid7 a strong resource to draw upon. Prior to Percussion, he held senior roles at Digital Equipment Corp. (DEC). Reynolds is a CPA and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Brandeis University.

John Devine - Rapid7 Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Sales - Devine brings extensive operations and sales expertise. He oversees Rapid7's sales endeavors, a core area of operations he directed at Percussion, Bond Technologies, and Stride & Associates. He is the architect of Rapid7's direct sales desk structure, a team-oriented hierarchy that produces results. Prior to his recent experiences, Devine spent almost 10 years in IT job placement.
