Description:

We are looking for talented Software Engineers with an excellent background in the design and implementation of front-end systems. Ideally you will be a front-end focused, full stack developer. You will work within our engineering teams to design, build and deliver, new product features and solutions for one of Rapid7's core products.

You will have 2-5+ years experience with the following technologies or similar:

  • Javascript, Python, Java, HTML5 / CSS3, SQL, RESTFul APIs

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver new product features to the Rapid7 production system
  • Write high quality code
  • Analyse customer issues and developing solutions
  • Follow the team's agile practices to create world-class software
  • Interact with other R7 Development teams, Product, Support and Architecture
  • Collaborate with other sprinters to deliver and report on your sprint

Skills and Expertise:

  • 2-5 years of experience in a software development role
  • Experience with Javascript (primarily using React, but also Angular, Vue.js, Ember, jQuery), HTML5 / CSS3
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and TDD
  • Experience writing automated tests to test applications end-to-end (unit, integration, acceptance, performance, scalability)
  • Experience developing or at least understanding of RESTFul architectures
  • Experience automatically deploying applications into live production sites
  • Experience working with automation tools such as Jenkins

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related Engineering disciplines with relevant experience in software development
