At Rapid7, we celebrate people bringing diverse perspectives to the table as we work together to help to secure the world’s connections.
Diversity of backgrounds and mindsets help us close gaps in experience and spark innovation. A deep commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is core to the strength and success of our business. It’s also, quite simply, the right thing to do. Not just for us, but for the advancement of our industry and our world. This is why we are building a place where everyone feels welcome to be their authentic selves.
There’s no finish line to cross in our efforts on this front – we’ll keep striving to create a more inclusive workplace every day. Along the way, our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Annual Report helps us to hold ourselves accountable and share our progress with the world.DEI 2020 Annual Report
We’re committed to bringing together people from different backgrounds and investing in programs that nurture pathways for the future talent of our tech community. This commitment is fueled by two of our core values:
Be an Advocate
By advocating for customers, underrepresented groups, and one another, we strive to create a more connected and collaborative experience for all.
We want every person to feel empowered to embrace their own uniqueness and feel comfortable bringing their true self to work.
We refer to our people at Rapid7 as Moose, a word that remains unchanged in both its singular and plural forms. It’s one of the many ways we work to build an internal sense of camaraderie and community. We’re one Moose and proud of the diverse perspectives that strengthen our herd.
Here are some notable initiatives helping to make Rapid7 a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive home for every Moose:
Kindness and generosity are cyclical. That’s why giving back to the larger community is an integral part of our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion program.
The world stands to benefit from advances in these areas – and not just in terms of improving the quality of each person’s lived experience.

Although we at Rapid7 believe that a commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive work culture extends far beyond any metrics, we also feel there’s value in setting measurable goals.
With that in mind, we announced our 50|50 by 2020 initiative in 2018, with a goal of having 50% of our employees in the United States be women or People of Color by the end of 2020. Here’s a snapshot of how we performed against that goal and what our company looks like today:
We at Rapid7 cannot slow down when it comes to our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion efforts. They're rooted in our values: Be an Advocate, Bring You. They empower our people. And they help make our customers and the world more secure.
We're proud of the progress we've made and the relationships we've forged with diverse communities, and we'll never stop working to build stronger connections with people from all walks of life all over the world.
