Role Overview

Rapid7 is seeking a talented UX Writing student to join our User Experience (UX) team for a twelve month internship. The UX team in Belfast designs, builds and continuously delivers new features to help Rapid7's customers easily use our products to identify and solve their complex cybersecurity problems. 

As an intern at Rapid7 you will:

  • Have the opportunity to work with our diverse and cohesive UX team as well as our engineering, marketing, and product management teams

  • Craft content experiences that help Rapid7's everyday users to efficiently and enjoyably use our cybersecurity software products

  • Learn how our writers and designers proactively influence, manage, plan, and scope UX projects

  • Participate in meaningful outcomes that contribute to real customer success and company goals

Successful candidates will be:

  • Currently enrolled in a BS or MS degree in a discipline related to English, UX Design, UX Engineering, or Psychology

  • Experienced working on projects (either in academic or professional settings) with multiple stakeholders where they've managed diverse opinions and driven solutions

  • Able to work autonomously with great personal project management skills

  • Experienced with Markdown, CSS, HTML, Visual Studio, GitHub, Confluence, and JIRA

  • Able to think through user needs and business goals and apply them to documentation and in-product experiences

  • Able to understand and articulate interaction user experience principles and processes

  • Able to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely 

  • Excellent communicators, with strong written and oral communication skills

  • Obsessed with grammar and writing rules

  • Thoughtful, kind, positive, and supportive
