Reporting to the VP, Sales Strategy and Effectiveness, the Director for Sales Programs & Initiatives is a key leadership member of the global Rapid7 go-to-market team, instrumental in developing and helping to execute strategic sales initiatives and programs. To ensure healthy conversion rates across segments and products, this role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define new sales effectiveness initiatives. This includes planning and orchestrating cross-functional go-to-market initiatives across sales, customer success, solution engineering, services and marketing.

Develop, help execute and measure the implementation of strategic sales initiatives
Drive sales initiatives with cross-functional teams
Act as a ‘change agent' to systematically drive and implement process changes through the global sales organization and business as a whole in support of identified objectives
Monitor and measure effectiveness of sales programs and initiatives collaborating with the global sales and sales leadership team
Ensure alignment in our go-to-market motion
Work with Information Technology and Revenue Operations to unify processes and systems that drive the delivery of sales enablement tools including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Learning Management (LMS)
We are seeking someone with passion, energy, intellect and drive that can bring fresh ideas, an analytical mind, and a dedication to growing the business, including the following experience:
Experience in driving global sales programs and initiatives by working with both sales leadership and cross-functional teams
Keen understanding of sales process design and related outcomes, including driving field programs, incentives and promotions
Experience in fast-growing B2B SaaS business and understanding of key metrics that drive sales productivity and company performance
Demonstrated strategic planning skills and ability to operationalize strategy into practice through qualitative and quantitative feedback loops
Metrics-driven mentality with focus on business outcomes and continual improvement
Strong ability to work cross-functionally with product, marketing, revenue operations and finance teams to create impact and translate business objectives to actionable and measurable strategies
History of partnering with strategic alliances, channel and sales operations, and marketing to launch and support growth initiatives to capture new market opportunities
Experience in leveraging and optimizing technology stack to drive sales effectiveness and efficiency (e.g. SFDC, Clari, SalesLoft, Gong, etc.)
Excellent knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles, with outstanding communications and messaging skills and executive presence
Solid background in project/program management and successful implementation of major initiatives
Quick learner who is naturally curious and thrives in the face of the unexpected, ambiguity, and change
Cares deeply about culture and values and can be a steward for transparency, collaboration, diversity and inclusiveness, impact and innovation
Boston, MA, Washington, DC, Austin, TX or Tampa, FL locations are preferred; however, a remote location within the US for the right candidate is possible
Education: Engineering / CS / MIS Degree (Bachelor's minimum; graduate work preferred) or 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
