Solving use cases is at the core of solutions architecture, and a critical part of that is effectively demonstrating value. Rapid7 is seeking a highly motivated technical storyteller with a passion for customer outcomes to be our Demo Engineer. This person will serve as the Narrator-in-Chief of designing the playbooks, content, and cross-product focal points for the Sales Engineering Org's demonstration environment. You will work closely with our lab managers, product specialists, and PMM to ensure the full capabilities of our portfolio are highlighted when our pre-sales teams interact with customers.
What you'll do
  • Partner with various Product Practice leaders, marketing and the lab team to understand and ensure key features and use cases are highlighted in our demo environments.
  • Build playbooks to facilitate Sales Engineer readiness, product value propositions, and compelling stories
  •  Collaborate with product specialists to build data sets, integrations, and environments that reflect the challenges and uses cases our customers experience.
  • Work with PMs to ensure new features are rolled out and tested in demo environments accompanying SE readiness.
About You
  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Product Marketer, or similar role at a security vendor
  • Strong understanding of core cybersecurity personas, concepts and use cases
  • Ability to collaborate with technical counterparts, understanding the underlying infrastructure requirements for achieving great demo outcomes.
  • Great written, verbal, and presentation skills with a knack for storytelling
  • Hand-on-keyboard or practitioner experience are pluses
