Description

This module exploits an authenticated arbitrary command execution vulnerability within the 'server' GET parameter of the /uapi-cgi/testaction.cgi page of Geutebruck G-Cam EEC-2xxx and G-Code EBC-21xx, EFD-22xx, ETHC-22xx, and EWPC-22xx devices running firmware versions <= 1.12.0.25 as well as firmware versions 1.12.13.2 and 1.12.14.5 when the 'type' GET paramter is set to 'ntp'. Successful exploitation results in remote code execution as the root user.

Module Options

To display the available options, load the module within the Metasploit console and run the commands 'show options' or 'show advanced':

msf > use exploit/linux/http/geutebruck_testaction_exec
msf exploit(geutebruck_testaction_exec) > show targets
    ...targets...
msf exploit(geutebruck_testaction_exec) > set TARGET < target-id >
msf exploit(geutebruck_testaction_exec) > show options
    ...show and set options...
msf exploit(geutebruck_testaction_exec) > exploit

Time is precious, so I don’t want to do something manually that I can automate. Leveraging the Metasploit Framework when automating any task keeps us from having to re-create the wheel as we can use the existing libraries and focus our efforts where it matters.
