Description

It was discovered that websockets.c in LibVNCServer prior to 0.9.12 did not properly decode certain WebSocket frames. A malicious attacker could exploit this by sending specially crafted WebSocket frames to a server, causing a heap-based buffer overflow.

Solution(s)

  • centos-upgrade-libvncserver
  • centos-upgrade-libvncserver-debuginfo
  • centos-upgrade-libvncserver-debugsource
  • centos-upgrade-libvncserver-devel

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
