Description

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net/ipv6: avoid possible UAF in ip6_route_mpath_notify() syzbot found another use-after-free in ip6_route_mpath_notify() [1] Commit f7225172f25a ("net/ipv6: prevent use after free in ip6_route_mpath_notify") was not able to fix the root cause. We need to defer the fib6_info_release() calls after ip6_route_mpath_notify(), in the cleanup phase. With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
