Description

mount.ecryptfs_private.c in eCryptfs-utils does not validate mount destination filesystem types, which allows local users to gain privileges by mounting over a nonstandard filesystem, as demonstrated by /proc/$pid.

Solution(s)

  • suse-upgrade-ecryptfs-utils
  • suse-upgrade-ecryptfs-utils-32bit
  • suse-upgrade-ecryptfs-utils-devel
  • suse-upgrade-ecryptfs-utils-x86
  • suse-upgrade-libecryptfs1

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
