Description

A flaw in libxml2 allows remote XML entity inclusion with default parser flags (i.e., when the caller did not request entity substitution, DTD validation, external DTD subset loading, or default DTD attributes). Depending on the context, this may expose a higher-risk attack surface in libxml2 not usually reachable with default parser flags, and expose content from local files, HTTP, or FTP servers (which might be otherwise unreachable).

Solution(s)

  • suse-upgrade-libxml2
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-2
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-2-32bit
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-32bit
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-devel
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-devel-32bit
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-doc
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-python
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-tools
  • suse-upgrade-libxml2-x86
  • suse-upgrade-python-libxml2
  • suse-upgrade-sles12sp2-docker-image

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
