Description

A heap-based buffer overflow in the vrend_renderer_transfer_write_iov function in vrend_renderer.c in virglrenderer through 0.8.0 allows guest OS users to cause a denial of service, or QEMU guest-to-host escape and code execution, via VIRGL_CCMD_RESOURCE_INLINE_WRITE commands.

Solution(s)

  • suse-upgrade-libvirglrenderer0
  • suse-upgrade-virglrenderer-devel
  • suse-upgrade-virglrenderer-test-server

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
