Description

Integer overflow in the DHCP client (udhcpc) in BusyBox before 1.25.0 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (crash) via a malformed RFC1035-encoded domain name, which triggers an out-of-bounds heap write.

Solution(s)

  • ubuntu-upgrade-busybox
  • ubuntu-upgrade-busybox-initramfs
  • ubuntu-upgrade-busybox-static
  • ubuntu-upgrade-udhcpc
  • ubuntu-upgrade-udhcpd

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
