Description

An issue was discovered in Squid before 5.0.2. A remote attacker can replay a sniffed Digest Authentication nonce to gain access to resources that are otherwise forbidden. This occurs because the attacker can overflow the nonce reference counter (a short integer). Remote code execution may occur if the pooled token credentials are freed (instead of replayed as valid credentials).

Solution(s)

  • oracle-linux-upgrade-libecap
  • oracle-linux-upgrade-libecap-devel
  • oracle-linux-upgrade-squid
  • oracle-linux-upgrade-squid-migration-script
  • oracle-linux-upgrade-squid-sysvinit

With Rapid7 live dashboards, I have a clear view of all the assets on my network, which ones can be exploited, and what I need to do in order to reduce the risk in my environment in real-time. No other tool gives us that kind of value and insight.
